Lippstadt produced a forward who paired sprinter’s momentum with the control to finish from either side.

Rummenigge joined Bayern as a teenager and grew into the attacking leader who bridged the club’s first European dynasty and its next generation.

He won consecutive Ballons d’Or, helped West Germany win EURO 1980, and captained the side to the 1986 World Cup final after also finishing runner-up in 1982.
