Olajuwon brought a footballer's feet from Lagos to Houston and refined them into the post game's deepest vocabulary.

A late start in basketball left Olajuwon open to invention. His spins, fakes and counters made the low post a dance, while his timing produced elite blocks and steals.

In 1994 he became the first player to win MVP, Defensive Player of the Year and Finals MVP in the same season.
