Origin
and identity

Benjamin Toniutti gave France an experienced setting presence and a captain's perspective through its most successful international era.

The European and World League titles of 2015 were followed by years directing attacks in Poland. His work with ZAKSA culminated in the 2021 Champions League title.

Tokyo then brought Olympic gold, with Paris providing another championship three years later. His contribution illustrates the value of continuity within a team also celebrated for improvisation.
