Origin
and identity
Kelsey Robinson Cook brought high-level reception and adaptable outside play to American teams that won world and Olympic titles.
Robinson joined the senior national team in 2014 and won the World Championship that season. Her college path through Tennessee and Nebraska had developed an outside hitter comfortable with a large workload.
She temporarily moved to libero in 2018 before returning outside. The same reception skills supported a run of three Olympic medals: bronze in Rio, gold in Tokyo and silver in Paris.
